Tinder, the world’s most popular dating platform, has introduced a new feature that combines artificial intelligence with a dash of virtual romance. Now, users can flirt with a chatbot based on OpenAI technology, writes Bloomberg.
The goal is not only to entertain, but also to help the more timid improve their dating skills. The chatbot initiates conversation scenarios, and those who respond with warmth and curiosity get points. If they manage to convince the bot to go on a virtual date, they win the game.
Each user can interact with the bot up to five times a day. Each session lasts about three minutes, a measure designed to avoid dependency or overuse.
The idea of these games is to provide a fun, judgment-free space where users can experiment and gain confidence before jumping into real conversations.
Hillary Payne, Tinder’s vice president of Product, Growth and Revenue, explained.
For now, the feature is available exclusively on Apple devices and for users in the United States. There are still no confirmed dates for its global expansion, but Tinder has already made it clear that the future of dating will include algorithms… and a lot of flirting.
